After a very moving Anzac Day Dawn service at the Isurava memorial, the group made their way down through the villages of Deniki, Hoi and Kovelo, They have just arrived to Kokoda village and are delighted to have completed this acheivement.

Today Wayne's group had an early start to get to the airport for their flight to Popondetta. On arrival at Popondetta they transferred to Kokoda by vehichle. They received a warm traditional welcome ceremony on arrival at Kokoda.

The group made it to their campsite at Dump 1 (AKA Templetons 1).

Today was another tough day for the group on the Kokoda Track. After a dawn service at the Brigade Hill battlefield they made their way down to the village of Efogi. Here they stopped for a well earned morning tea break and a chat with the locals.

The group are at Brigade Hill tonight, near the site of one of the most horrific delaying battles the Australians were forced to fight while withdrawing over the Owen Stanley Range. Its been a tough day for the group today with heavy rains.

The group have reached the top of the Maguli Range, a climb up to 1350 metres above sea-level.
