Trek Update 26 June 2016-Harry Bould, Trinity Grammar School Kew.

The group left Kokoda early this morning heading for Isurava. Yesterday saw heavy rain which contributed to a slippery start. However after a full days trekking the group have arrived at the battlefield of Isurava which is set high above Kokoda and the Eora Creek Valley below.

The four pillars each inscribed with one of the virtues of the Kokoda Campaign-Courage, Endurance, Mateship & Sacrifice are reminders of the legacy that has been left by those who fought and died for our great nation. Tonight for many it will be straight to bed in preparation to do it all again tomorrow.
