Early start for our August trekkers! The incoming Kokoda Trekking group and Northern Beachheads extension group have linked up. Today they travelled from Girua to Kokoda before starting their trek. Along the way they visited Awala (where the first contacts took place) the mighty Kumusi River (5 of our trekkers where involved in the construction of the new bridge), Oivi/Goari and Kokoda. 

All are in high spirits and have started their journey. At the time of writing this blog they are headed for the small village just outside Kokoda-Hoi. The above photo was taken just as they were leaving Kokoda.
