The group departed New Nauro early this morning and made their way up and over the mighty Maguli Range. Digging deep the long and steep decent was almost just as hard as the climb. After crossing Ofi creek another climb to the top of Ioribaiwa before yet another decent to Ua-Ule creek with wet feet to boot!
Everyone is now in camp alongside the creek, which has one of the best swimming holes on the Track. Tomorrow is the Sabbath, a day of rest for the locals (who are mainly Seven Day Adventists). The day of reset means no trekking tomorrow, time to relax have a swim, a chat with the locals and a chance to refurbish their gear.
Well done everyone only two more ridges to climb and your home!
