In April 2015 Ashlee and Greg walked the Kokoda with Kokoda Historical. Arriving at Isurava on the eve of the centenary of Anzac. Greg who is a returned serviceman walked the Track to raise awareness of returned servicemen and women who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). After setting up camp Greg suggested to Ashlee that they head down to the memorial to get some more photos. They came to the four pillars of the memorial as Greg started saying some beautiful words. As they came to the final pillar of Mateship, Greg spun Ashlee around and dropped to one knee to propose with a proposal stick he had made by the local Papuans. Of course she said ‘yes’! They were later told that by locals that they were the first proposal on the Kokoda track. We wish Ashlee and Greg a life full of love.
Love is in the air!
