Today the group headed up the Menari Gap down to Menari Village continuing on to Brigade Hill. At Brigade Hill and stopped to remember the gallant men of the 21st Brigade who took part in the battles here. Here under the command of Brigadier Arnold Potts, 21 Brigade together for the first time in the campaign, made a gallant stand against the Japanese.

In the afternoon they continued on to the village of Efogi where they have set up camp for the night. They have reached the half-way point on the track and all are doing well.
