Alan 'Kanga' Moore celebrated his 95th Birthday this past Friday. Kanga is the last remaining officer of the 39 Australian Infantry Battalion. He is also very active within the 39th Battalion Association including serving as a committee member, speaking to school & community groups along with helping to facilitate the Kokoda Plateau Memorial at One Tree Hill. Clodagh & David from Kokoda Historical had the great pleasure of being invited to Kang's birthday party on the lovely Mornington Peninsula. Kanga had over fifity people in attendance. His birthday celebrations continue this weekend as he spends time with his family. Happy Birthday!
