My Father and I recently completed the Kokoda trail with Kokoda Historical, under the guidance of David Howell and his amazing team of porters, the “Green Masin” – who helped us along every step of the way. Their efficiency, care and consideration to all of the trekkers was undeniable and greatly appreciated, (with particular reference to the morning pancakes and the small luxuries – like having your tent made and ready for you first thing upon arrival in camp each evening.
David Howell’s approach to the history and the sharing of stories relative to our progression along the trail was inspiring and informative. Though we took many moments to consider and discuss the history, the physical challenges were lightened by the spirit of the group – the group got along very well and with David’s light and charismatic personality, we all enjoyed many laughs.
This was an incredible experience, thank you to Kokoda Historical for making it such an enjoyable and memorable trip.
