Managing Director of Kokoda Historical, David Howell was awarded Life Membership to the 39th Australian Infantry Battalion Association.

The 39th Australian Infantry Battalion 1941-1943 existed as a unit for only twenty months of World War II, but its story is one of the most unusual and proudest in the annals of Australian military history.

David has been a committee member for over eight-years which has included serving as the Hon. Secretary and is currently the history chair. The 39th Battalion awards those who give meritorious service to the Association.

David is very humbled and honoured to have received life membership.
