Ben our head trek leader, is finally able to return to PNG. Ben came out to Australia on 11 March and was meant to be here on holiday for only 2 weeks. Unfortunately 2 weeks turned into 3 months due to the COVID-19 situation. To make matters worse for Ben his wife gave birth to their first child, a little boy since he has been here. 

Next Tuesday Ben will finally be able to go home. It has been a very difficult process to get Ben back to PNG and to be reunited with his wife and to see his newborn son for the first time. 

When Ben arrives back in PNG he will have to undergo 2 weeks quarantine. We understand that there are still quite a few PNG Nationals stuck in Australia and our thoughts with them at this difficult time.
