ANZAC Day 2018 Milne Bay, Kokoda & Northern Beachheads Tour

$4,355 9 Day Fully Australian Led Tour – Visiting all the WWII key Battlefields in Papua!

Kokoda Historical wants you to get excited about Australian history! We aim to bring to life the many number of ordinary people that became extraordinary heroes of our proud nation. We are talking about the soldiers, civilians and Papuans that were embroiled in the Second World War in the jungles of the Owen Stanley Ranges. They are true Australian heroes that stood between tyranny and freedom and-we will remember them.

So pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and immerse yourself in the past as you join us on a pilgrimage top Papua like no other.

We have over a decade of experience in touring the battlefields of PNG, studying our proud history, interviewing the veterans, serving in the Australian Defence Force and bringing the history to life through innovative methods.

At Kokoda Historical we appreciate that the physical challenge of trekking in Papua New Guinea is not suitable for everyone. Therefore we have come up with a tour that allows people to visit the key Second World War Australian battlefields in Papua without the need to trek through the jungle.

This ANZAC Day, join historian and owner of Kokoda Historical, David Howell as he accompanies you on a pilgrimage to Kokoda, Milne Bay and the Northern Beachheads. Through a unique blend of adventure, master story telling and living history, David will bring to life the events of 1942.

This tour will see you attend the official Anzac Day Dawn Service at Bomana War Cemetery before touring the key battlefields of Papua. These areas include Port Moresby, Owers’ & McDonalds Corners, Sogeri, Koitaki Showgrounds, Kokoda Station (village) and visiting the Northern Beachheads of Buna, Gona and Sanananda before heading over to Milne Bay.

Don’t just visit Papua — live the history.
